This programme was sponsored by the St. Thomas Kinsmen to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis and was unveiled at St. Anne's Centre in November, 1982. The Kinsmen Club were awarded the Sinclair Sheild Award and Peter Robson was awarded a national Kin Award which reads: "Presented to Peter Robson in recognition of his gift of hope to C.F. children."

BENMILLER INN SHOW -1983-Slide ShowPeter Ivey, owner of the Benmiller Inn, commissioned Peter for eight watercolours of the buildings in this lovely village and they were unveiled at a show in the fall of 1984. Two became limited editions "Benmiller Inn" and "Cherrydale Farm" and six are art cards "Spring in Huron County", "Mill House", "Summer's End", Haymaking at Cherrydale Farm", "Gledhill House", and "Autumn Symphony". Two other limited editions were introduced at this show - "The Blacksmith" and "December Dusk".

THE ABBEY OPENING-1984-Slide Show
After extensive restoration of this 1840's property, Peter & Eleanor opened The Abbey as their gallery/home and great care was taken to preserve the historic accuracy of the exterior. There was a collection of original watercolours on display and collectors came from near and far to view the collection and to acquire a piece for their collection. Four limited editions were introduced at that show: Woodland Mist, Evening Glory, Evening Memories, and Waiting Patiently, and the third in the Heritage Collection - Memories of Summer.

ELMHURST SHOW -1985-Slide ShowOn June 14th, 1985, Peter's exhibition and sale of original watercolours was attended by hundreds of collectors and guests, and officiated by Mayor Waltor Wilson, Warden Charles Tathan, Dr. Bruce Halliday, M.P, & RICHARD TRELEAVEN, Q.C.,M.P.P. The original painting "ElmHurst" was unveiled and still hangs in the Inn today. In Peter's words from his speech that evening - "In each person's mind is a myriad of memories and a painting can unlock many of these thoughts. Every day I work is a growing experience for me and my paintings clearly express my love of life. I feel privileged as my work allows me to share this with you."

10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW - ELMHURST INN - 1991The lovely ElmHurst Inn, in Ingersoll, Ont. was the venue for several of Peter's art shows including the 1985 Gala, The East Joins West Show in 1992, and this 10th Anniversary Exhibition and Sale -Sept. 13, 1991

EAST JOINS WEST SHOW - 1992-Slide ShowFollowing Peter's official trip to Russia and the Ukraine, in 1991, artists Igor Soldatenkov and Albin Gavdzinsky made trips to Canada and several collaborative shows were held-beginning at the London Hunt Club, followed by displays in various galleries throughout Ontario, and the culmination was the "East Joins West" show in the Grand Ballroom of ElmHurst in 1992. This sale and exhibition of original works highlighted each artist's unique style and reinforced the bond between them.

ART FOR A FINE CAUSE - 1993 -Slide Show
On October 30, 1993, the MOCHA TEMPLE SHRINERS presented a gala art show at the London Convention Centre to unveil their fundraising project "Fond Memories"- a series of two limited editions and "My Special Day"- a limited edition porcelain plate. "Those of us involved with the work of Peter Robson have created an event that leaves little to chance or coincidence. Owing to the almost unique position that Peter Robson holds in contemporary art, working hand in hand with the Shriners-the greatest philanthropic organization in the world-the ambitions of this fine cause will surely be achieved." Mocha Temple Shriners.
On display were many of Peter's original paintings from previous philantropic projects and corporate collections, as well as an exhibition and sale of new original works and Artist Proofs. |

CENTENNIAL HALL SHOW - 1996 - Slide ShowThe 15th Anniversary show at Centennial Hall, November 16, 1996 was a landmark in Peter Robson's career. By invitation only, it was attended by over 2,000 people and featured an exhibition of some of Peter's past works, a collection of new paintings and limited editions for sale, and the North American launch of the book "Bloodline of the Holy Grail" by Sir Laurence Gardner.
There would follow over the years other milestone shows: The Memorial Boys & Girls Club at Centennial Hall Nov. 6, 1998-The St. Thomas Golf & Country Club 100th Anniversary Show OCT. 23, 1998-The Millennium Gala at Timberlane Country Club, Aurura Oct. 2, 1999, the Alice in Wonderland Gala for Southlake Health Science Centre at Timberlane Country Club Sept. 2001-the Circle of Life Sculptures unveiling at Pinafore Park Sept. 2005, the unveiling of the restored Jumbo statue in St. Thomas Sept. 15, 2010, as well as several open houses at The Abbey in Sparta. These are highlighted in other areas of the website, but the Anniversary Show in 1996 will remain both a personal and professional milestone in Peter's life. |
