EASTER BUNNY ARRIVES IN SPARTA! - April 4th, 2015
The weather was lovely for the Easter Bunny event in Sparta. The stores held special Easter Egg Hunts, Free Draws, and treats for the kids. In the side room of the Tearoom, the Easter Bunny met dozens of children eager to have a FREE picture taken and do their crafts. Then they came to our Studios, and we matted them with a fancy cut out mat showing an Easter Bunny, which was also complimentary
A great time was had by all the families who attended this special event. Great job, Sparta!

FORGE DINNER - Held annually on the first Saturday of November
THIS YEAR, 2016, WE WILL BE CELEBRATING THE YEAR 1900!!
The Sparta Historical Society presents an annual dinner which is held in The Forge and Anvil - one of the oldest buildings in the village and a unique and fascinating museum. A particular year is chosen to celebrate and this year's date was 1834, the year Sparta received its present name. The beautiful multi-course meal is all home-cooked featuring dishes apropos to the year and served by members of the historical society in full costume. There is entertainment with singing and this year a re-enactment of the naming of the village meeting. The ambience of the completely candle lit affair is hard to beat.
THIS FIRST ANNUAL SPARTA SCARECROW FESTIVAL on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 WAS VERY WELL ATTENDED, AND ALTHOUGH THE WEATHER WAS QUITE COLD AND WINDY, IT DIDN'T DAMPER THE SPIRITS OF EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT.
SANTA COMES TO SPARTA - Every year in late Nov. / early Dec.
Santa visits Sparta each year and all the kids (little and big!) love it. He hears Christmas wishes from the children, each gets their complimentary picture taken with him and brings it to Peter Robson Studios to be mounted for free in a fancy cut out mat of their choice. All the merchants participate with their own special treats for the kids and free draws leading up to the twelve days of Christmas.
